Biography

Masoud Khademi

Masoud Khademi is a composer and musician of Tar and setar, born in Iran.

He began learning to play the Tar from Roya Harajzadeh, after that he learned the Maroufi and Mirza Abdollah Radif under the guidance of Behrouz Hemmati.

In 2007 he was named the best Tar player in Iran at the young music festival, and later became a student of Mohammad Reza Lotfi, he played The Mirza Abdollah Radif and other things with him then he went on to learn the Mirza Hosseingholi Radif from Dariush Pirniakan.

He studied music theory and solfege with Amir Eslami and took courses in Electronic music and stylistic with Mohammad Pazhutan and harmony with Kiavash sahebnasagh.

In 2014 he was selected as the Iran's top theatre composer.

He took so many courses about music in different subjects in Berklee university, calart, michigan...

In 2022, he won silver medal for composing and bronze medal for instrumentalist in global music awards.

In2024 he released the first individual album with name of The sky of confusion with Navid Afghah.
